We time every competitor and process the results exactly by your race's rules. We design the technology and the placement of the timing points around the discipline and the course profile, whether that's road running, MTB, triathlon, OCR, enduro, downhill, or orienteering.
We build our own timing hardware, using components proven in industry. We use industrial Zebra and Alien readers, paired with antennas we make ourselves as well as Feibot antennas, calibrated to the frequencies our readers and chips work on. This is how we time running races as well as MTB and road cycling.
The Checkpoint system is entirely ours, from the hardware to the firmware. A rugged chip worn on the wrist, boxes that run for 24 hours with no signal and no mains power, penalty stations that write the penalty straight to the competitor's chip, and chips we reuse after the race. We use it for OCR, enduro, and orienteering.
A contactless single-use chip on the shoe, bib, or helmet. The finish mat records it at the exact moment the competitor crosses. This is our most-used technology: nothing to hand back, and no hold-up at the finish.
Our own system, with a rugged chip worn on the wrist. Out on the course the competitor taps it against a checkpoint box, which records the exact time they passed. The boxes run fully offline for up to 24 hours, so we can put them anywhere, including terrain with no signal and no power.
A photocell records the time at the exact moment the competitor breaks the beam. It suits races where competitors go one at a time and thousandths decide the result. We can set up several gates along the course, and their times transmit in real time wherever there's a cell signal.
We don't time only the finish. We record splits at checkpoints along the course and confirm that every competitor really passed through them. We handle lap races and stage races, time trials and point-to-point courses, and we process the running results in real time.
Results run live as competitors finish, and anyone can follow them on the web from anywhere, not just at the finish. We also put up screens for spectators in the finish area.
We film the finish area, so even the tightest finishes are scored accurately. From the footage we can settle the order and the time where placings come down to a moment, and it gives officials the evidence they need for a disputed finish.
We process the results by your race's rules, for individuals and for teams, and publish them on the web right away. We handle unusual scoring too, such as your own penalties or a points system. We can also print unofficial results at any point during the race, and we put your race and partner logos into the results lists.
At obstacle races, penalties are usually marked with a marker pen on a paper or Tyvek wristband worn on the competitor's wrist. We don't need one. A marshal at the obstacle taps the competitor's chip, and the penalty is written straight onto it. It then travels with the competitor to the next checkpoint, so the obstacle itself needs no signal and no power.
A race can't be run twice, so we never leave anything to one point of failure. Every layer of the timing has its own backup.
We combine several races into one running standings. It recalculates automatically whenever a result changes, so you don't have to trigger anything or wait for it.
When the order at your race is not simply the fastest finish time, we compute it by your race's rules. We write the software ourselves, so we can fit it to a calculation you will not find anywhere else.
